How we work

People and process first. Fixed price. Fully yours at the end.

A clear process, no retainer trap — and no rent to keep using your own website. Here's exactly how a DNC engagement runs — from the first conversation to the day it goes live in your own accounts.

Start with the $750 assessment →
Scoped before we build Feedback until you're satisfied We switch your domain You own everything
From coffee to keys — the six steps of a DNC engagement: meet, shared understanding, $750 assessment, SOW with a fixed price, build in the open, then delivery and handover. Open communication throughout, ownership at the end, a 30-day stabilisation window (longer if your first live event falls later), optional Ongoing Care $700–$1,400/mo month-to-month.
📐
Scoped before we build
You get a written scope and a fixed price before a line of code — exactly what you're getting, what it does, and what it costs. No hourly meter, no scope creep, no surprise invoice.
🔁
Feedback until you're satisfied
We build in the open. You see working progress on a regular cadence and steer it the whole way. We iterate until it's right — "done" means you're satisfied, not just that we shipped.
🌐
We handle the switch
Going live includes moving your domain and migrating off your old hosting — done carefully so there's no downtime and nothing breaks. It's part of the service, not an add-on.
The process

The engagement, step by step.

Every build runs the same path. You always know where you are and what's next.

1
Free · 20–60 min
A real conversation
You walk us through your situation — the tools, the friction, the goal. We give you an honest read on fit. No pitch, no obligation. If we're not the right call, we'll say so.
2
Understand before we prescribe
Assess or scope
If the path is clear, we go straight to scoping. If it's not — or security and cost need a hard look first — we start with the Baseline Assessment, $750 flat: a vendor-neutral report you own, scored against NIST and CIS, with a prioritized roadmap and honest options (including “do nothing”). The $750 credits in full toward any build you start within 60 days. Larger multi-entity or formal-procurement reviews are quoted from $2,500.
3
The commitment is the scope
A written scope & a fixed price
Before anything is built, you get one document: exactly what we're building, what it does, the timeline, and one fixed price. You approve it. That scope is the contract — no hourly billing, no scope creep, no surprise invoices. Changes are quoted openly, never assumed.
4
Security designed in
A secure demo you can click
We stand up a working version early — built on a secure foundation from day one, not bolted on later — so you're reacting to something real with your own workflow in it, not a slide deck.
5
Built in the open
Consistent feedback, until it's right
Through the whole build you see progress on a regular cadence and give feedback continuously — you steer it, not just sign off at the end. We refine and re-show until it matches what you actually need. We're not done until you're satisfied.
6
Go-live, handled
We switch your domain & migrate your hosting
Launch includes moving your domain and migrating you off your existing host — sequenced carefully so there's no downtime and nothing drops. Email, links, and search stay intact. You don't touch DNS or wrangle your old provider; that's our job.
7
Ownership is the product
Handover — you get the keys
You receive the code, every account and credential, your data, and a written runbook — plus a walkthrough. Take it in-house, keep it with us for ongoing care, or move it anywhere. It's yours.
Ownership

What you hold at the end.

No lock-in. Every engagement ends with you in control of everything it takes to run and move your system.

The code
The full source in a repository that's yours — not rented, not hostage to a monthly fee.
The accounts
Hosting, database, domain, and every service — in your name from the first day we build, so at the end there is nothing to hand over. We just remove our own access.
Your data
Exportable and portable, in a real database — never trapped inside someone else's platform.
A runbook
Plain-English documentation so you — or any other developer — can run it, change it, or move it.
Let's talk

Start with a conversation. No pitch.

Twenty minutes. We'll surface the real problem, tell you honestly whether we're the right fit, and give you a clear next step — even if it isn't us.
